Review of KBShimmer: Snow Way, Cocoa Nut, and Elle

Now I have some beautiful KBShimmer lacquers for you. Two of them are from her Winter collection.  I have Snow Way, Cocoa Nut, and Elle for you.  I will start out with Snow Way, which is part of the Winter colllection:

Here is the thumb shot. As you can see this has a light blue base with white and holo micro glitter, and multiple other sizes of white hex glitters. I have on 2 coats of Snow Way and it gave very nice coverage. 

Here is the bottle shot, and as you can see here the bottle is just jam packed with all that great glitter. And it really reminds me of a snowy winter day with the blue sky in the background. I really enjoy this polish. I didn't have any issues with it what so ever. Just dip and apply no fishing. And the dry time is great.

 Look at that beautiful light blue base! If you are a blue lover, this is definitely a good polish for you!









Next up is Cocoa Nut and this is the other lacquer that I have from the Winter collection.

This beautiful lacquer is Cocoa Nut, the base is a great chocolate brown packed plum full of holographic micro glitter and multiple sizes of iridescent fuchsia glitter. I have on 2 coats of this gorgeous polish. 

 



I did not have any problems with this polish what so ever. There was no fishing for glitter or any other issues. The dry time with these polishes is excellent.

Here's the bottle shot so that you can see just how full of pretty sparkle this polish is! I just love these polishes! These 3 are my first KBShimmer lacquers and I couldn't be happier with them. They are absolutely amazing, now I know what everyone was raving about.











Last but definitely not least I have Elle.

Elle has a wonderful pale grey jelly base with large silver and pink hexes, medium iridescent silver squares, medium matte salmon and pink hexes, small white squares, and micro matte salmon glitters.

I have on 3 coats of this wonderful polish. The depth when it's built up is great. The different colors in this polish are contrasting and make this polish pop and stand out.

Review of Maisie Shine Naughty from the Holiday Collection

Today I have for you a lovely polish from the great Indie brand Maisie Shine. The polish I have for you is Naughty, which is part of the 6 polish Holiday Collection. The other polishes in the Holiday Collection are: 2013, Wishlist, Wonderland, Nice, and Cookie Exchange. Here is Naughty:

Okay first off, red really isn't my color, with that said, I freaking love this color! This is a super shimmery red base with small red metallic and micro hex glitters. I have on 2 coats.

Here you can see the red hex glitters very well. I didn't have to fish for the glitter it just came out on the brush. I had absolutely no issues with this polish. It has excellent dry time. So I have to say my first experience with Maisie Shine is great, they turned me onto a color that I normally wouldn't pick for myself.

Review of TreasuresByTan: Carousel Pony, Cotton Candy, and Enchanted Evening

Today I have another newer (at least to me) Indie brand, TreasuresByTan.  There are some extremely pretty polishes in her shop, here are the 3 that I chose for this round :) There will have to be more purchases of course, because she now has a really excellent looking Christmas collection (click here to see them).  Okay anyway I got Carousel Pony, Cotton Candy, and Enchanted Evening (has shredded glitter!).  I am going to start out with Carousel Pony, this has a creamy sort of eggshell colored base with pearl finished yellow square glitters, pearl finished light purple hex glitters, and pearl finished yellow micro glitters.  It is sooo pretty! I didn't have any problems with this polish at all. No curling, no globs, no dragging, or dripping. Dry time was great.

I have on 2 coats of Carousel Pony, no undies. It has excellent coverage and great glitter application. I didn't have to fish for it or anything like that. it just came out on the brush and went right on.

Here is the close up of the thumb shot. You can see how the yellow and purple glitters really look wonderful together in this eggshell/off-white base.

Here's a bottle shot for you, sorry that it's a little bit fuzzy.

 Here's another bottle shot so that you can see the super super cute labels that she uses. Now keep in mind this is a mini bottle of polish. These super cute butterfly labels are so small, but so fun! I really love them :)






Next I have for you Cotton Candy.  Cotton Candy has a very light pink base with purple pearl tint in it and small light blue pearl squares, along with light blue micro glitter. Again I had no problems with this polish either.

Here is the up close thumb shot.  I have on 2 coats here to achieve this look. I really love this polish it definitely makes me think of cotton candy with it's beautiful pale colors.

Like I said I didn't have any issues with this polish. No curling glitters or anything like that.

My camera washed out the bottle shot a bit, but you still get the idea of the polish. 

This is a great polish, wonderful dry time. And it's such a wonderful color combination that I think everyone should have it to remind them of their childhood :)








Last but definitely not least I have Enchanted Evening. This has a sheer shimmery green base with metallic green squares and silver shredded glitter.

I have on 3 coats to build up to this opacity. I really love this and it definitely has enchanting color. Again with this polish there are no issues. No curling, no clumping, no problems!

This is definitely a new brand that I recommend to each and everyone of you. She also carries body spray, lotion, lip balm, glosses, and other gorgeous homemade things. She sent me a lip balm unfortunately my kids stole it from me and used it all so it must have been good! It definitely smelled like cotton candy, since I could smell it all over them :)

Review of Nubar Iced Licorice

Today I have Nubar Iced Licorice for you. I know I have been doing a lot of Indie polishes lately, but I got this polish and I just had to share it with you, it's such a great color!

 This is a lovely mauvish plum color packed with gold mini flakes. I really enjoyed wearing this polish and tons of compliments on it. Now I did add some nail art to it which I will show you at the end of the post, but I kind of wish I would have just left it alone!

I have on 2 coats of Iced Licorice. And I did not have any dragging, dripping, or any other issues with this polish.  It went on like a dream and dried wonderfully!

And here is my slightly questionable nail art.  I do believe that I really need to start practicing my nail art some more!!

Holiday Collection review for monsterlacquer! Deck the Halls, Rudolph, Tinsel, Jolly Holly, and White Christmas

Today I will be showing you another lovely Christmas collection, this one is from monsterlacquer.  The colors in this collection are Deck the Halls, Rudolph, Tinsel, Jolly Holly, and White Christmas.  I will start with Deck the Halls which has a clear base with mini silver, red, and green glitters along with blue mini bar glitters and large red hex glitters.  I have 1 coat of it on over "My Kind of Nude".

I didn't have to fish for the glitters. It was a little harder to get the big red hexes, but I just put the lid on the bottle and gave it a bit of a shake and that seemed to work pretty good.

To me the blue mini bar glitters make it look more like a really great New Years polish, but that is just my opinion :)

In the  close up here you can see that there is pretty even application with no fuss. I didn't have to try to place the glitters. I just brushed it on and moved to the next nail.

Next I have Rudolph for you, which has a clear base packed clear full of mini red glitters. Here I have 1 coat on over Love My Nails Manhattan Red on the index middle and pinkie fingers, over Sally Hansen Emerald City on the ring finger, and over "My Kind of Nude" on my thumb. Then I also have it pictured over Gosh Gold with 1 coat on all fingers, except the ring finger has 2 coats.

Here it blends right in over Manhattan red and stands out nicely over Emerald City.

Here is the close up over Manhattan Red. I didn't have any issues with this polish what so ever. It went right on.

Standing out greatly over Emerald City. (Sorry that it looks like I didn't do clean up, but I did it just wouldn't come completely off.)

Here it is looking so very gorgeous over Gosh Gold, with 2 coats on the ring finger.

Now we have Tinsel, which has a clear base packed full of silver mini bar glitters.

Here I have one coat of Tinsel over Sally Hansen Emerald City.  This is another great Christmas glitter.

Here is the close up of the thumb! I didn't have any application issues at all with this polish, no fishing for glitters, no dripping or dragging or any other problems.

Next up is Jolly Holly, this one has a pale frosted grass green base with red, blue, and silver mini glitters in it. A perfect mix of holiday colors for a wonderful Christmas polish.

I have on 2 coats of Jolly Holly with no undies. I didn't have any issues with dragging, dripping, or fishing.

Last but definitely not least, and my absolute favorite from this collection: White Christmas.  This has a creamy white base with different sizes of red and green hex glitters.

Here is the close up of the thumb. I didn't have any issues with this polish either. The larger glitters are a bit harder to get on but I do think that's because I have a mini bottle, I've always found it easier with the large bottles. But obviously it still looks AMAZING. 

The bottle shot!! I really love this polish! All the glitter really stands out nicely in the creamy white base.
