Meta'metics: Water Tribe, High Functioning Sociopath, Air Bender, Sing, Water Gun, and Thunder Bolt

This will be picture heavy, consider yourself warned :)

I now have for you a bunch of wonderful polishes from Meta'metics.  They are a wonderful Indie brand with a lot of different great polishes and colors that are inspired by many different sci-fi, fantasy, and pop culture things. These are made by geeks for geeks, so keep that in mind.  I am starting off with Water Tribe, which is definitely my favorite, this was inspired by the series-Avatar: The Last Airbender. Water Tribe is a deep blue with a teal hint to it, with tons of holographic goodness. Formula is a dream, goes on wonderfully, no running, or anything like that. Wear time was great lasted a good 3 days, which is excellent for me, because I work in the care giver field so there is tons of hand washing. Dry time was also excellent. There really isn't anything else I can say about this gorgeous color so I will stop rattling on and on and just show it to you :)

Up close in the sun. Can you see all that great holographic goodness? It's just wonderful, and a driving hazard :) I kept looking at my awesome nails and not the road!

Here it is again in the sun.

This is what it looks like with out the direct sunlight. Still a great color. Looks like it has a ton of silver sparkles in it in the shade. Then you step in the sun and it just explodes with all that holographic greatness!

This is with the flash of my camera. You can see all the great sparkles going on.  Unfortunately this is one of the many Indie colors that will be discontinued due to an issue getting the holographic element in the polish.

You can check out the store here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Metametics

Next I have a skittles with the other colors that I got. First is High Functioning Sociopath, inspired by the BBC Sherlock Series.  This is a deep blue jelly base with iridescent blue hex glitters. This will be on my thumb in the pictures.  Next is Air Bender, inspired by the series-Avatar: The Last Airbender. This is a light blue milky base with large and medium white hex glitter, large and medium teal iridescent hex glitter, and small blue iridescent hex glitter.  This will be found on my index finger. Following that on my middle finger is, Sing, which is inspired by Pokemon. This is a neon pink jelly base polish with large round silver glitter and medium silver hex glitter.  Then on my ring finger is Water Gun, also inspired by Pokemon. This is a bright blue jelly base with large and medium white hex glitter, large blue square glitter, and medium tealy blue hex glitter. And last but not least is Thunder Bolt, which is also Pokemon inspired. This is a neon yellow base with black bar glitter, and large and medium hex glitter. The first pictures are with no undies the second set will be with a white undie.

This is one coat each. High Functioning Sociopath and Water Gun are slightly streaky but even out later.

Here is 2 coats each and you can no longer see the streaks. The glitter in Sing are a little more difficult to get out. But with a good shake of the bottle I managed.

Here they are looking lovely with 3 coats each.

This is an up close of Thunder Bolt. And the closeness of the camera did slightly was out the brightness of this color. It is a neon yellow like the above picture.

This is Water Gun. Which has a semi matte finish to it. Very fun color though.

Sing. The camera slightly washed out the brightness of this color also. It is a very neon pink.

Airbender. Which is a bit brighter and lighter than this picture, I think my camera was still adjusting from the neons.

High Functioning Sociopath. True to color, but in person you can see those glitters in there better.

Here they all are over a white base, with one coat.

Over the white base, with 2 coats. You can see the white base really makes the Pokemon colors pop. High Functioning Sociopath looks a bit brighter and Airbender shows the milky blue color.

I really enjoy all of these colors and will continue to look for more great colors to come!

Golden Rose Holographic Nail Lacquer 103 and 105

Here I have for you a couple of little beauties that I received in a swap with a lovely lady from Portugal. She was so nice and sent these a little surprise! Which was so wonderful. Golden Rose 103 is a silver scattered holographic that is fairly transparent. You can build it up in about 3 or so coats though. Otherwise I'm quite sure you could use it as a topcoat to turn any color into a holographic (which I will now have to try!). 105 is a rosy pink scattered holographic which is also fairly transparent but takes a little less to build up to opaque than the other one. The formula for these little beauties was great, I didn't have any problems with running or streaking or bald spots, so that was very nice. The dry time on these is good, too. So with that all out of the way here they are:

In this first picture I do have a matte top coat over them, I did a little stamping with some polka dots to try my hand at stamping, which I will add was a major fail. But it wasn't too noticeable :)

Golden Rose #103

Golden Rose #105

Look at that sparkle.  They aren't as holographic as some others that I have, but they are definitely pretty!

This is with 2 thick coats each.

Here you can see more of the holographic sparkle in them.

These are absolutely some beautiful colors. I am going to have to search some more out!

I hope you enjoyed this post and come back again soon. Have a wonderful day and don't forget to smile, you never know whose looking :)

Dollish Polish Gym Tan Laundry

Next up is Dollish Polish Gym Tan Laundry which was inspired by Jersey Shores. This is a great light blue base with micro blue/green shimmer, small dark blue glitter, and slightly larger peach/copper hex glitter, which is an amazing contrast. This is one of my top 10 favorite polishes for sure. It has a great formula and builds up opaquely in about 2 coats. I had absolutely no problems with the application of this polish it went on very smooth. Dry time was great. It's so pretty! Okay I'll show you!

In the bottle.

In the semi shade/normal light.

Can you see the shimmer, I can!

In a little brighter light.

This is true to color.

Close up bottle shot! There's the peach/copper glitter, the dark blue, and the tiny ones are the blue/green ones.

Love Love Love this polish! This is a must have for anyone that like blue.

In the sun. I was trying to pick up some of the shimmer in the sun and was having no luck at all.

You can kind of (barely) see the shimmer in this one.

There you can see it a little bit better, but not much. But believe me this is an extraordinary color!

To find this and many other great colors you can check her out on Facebook: Dollface22772. And you can find her store here: http://www.dollishpolish.com.

I hope you enjoyed this post and come back again soon.  Have a wonderful day and don't forget to smile, you never know whose looking :)

Try it on Tuesday! Girly Bits Stormy Skies

For this lovely Try it on Tuesday I post I have for you my review on Girly Bits Stormy Skies. This is a fairly light greyish blue with gold and green micro glitter in it. It builds up to opaque in about 3 coats. With an undie it won't take as many coats. But then it also looks a little different as you will see in my pictures. The formula for this polish was great. It's not runny and it goes on evenly without any dragging or anything like that. Dry time was good. I really like this color more than I thought I would when I received it. When I got it I swatched it on a nail wheel and really didn't care for it. But then when I actually put it on my nails I really liked it. It will definitely be my go to color when it is storming! It's just perfect for that, or when I'm feeling kinda down even. Okay well without any further wait her it is:

Thumb: 3 Coats
Index: White base with 1 coat
Middle: White base with 2 coats
Ring: 2 coats
Pinkie: 1 coat

It's such a great color once you get it built up to opaqueness. I absolutely love this!

I was trying to get a good picture of the shimmer but my camera just wasn't cooperating with me :)

There you can see some of the awesome sparkle that it has!

Same picture but a little further away.

To follow on Facebook go here: https://www.facebook.com/GirlyBits. This is also where you will find store updates and any other information concerning her polishes. Review of Naild'It Unique Polish Olympic Flame!

Alright everyone, sorry it's been so long since I posted, but I have been super  busy with work and getting my kids ready for school.

So, today I have Naild'It Unique Polish in Olympic Flame.  This polish has a clear base with small silver hex glitter, copper hex glitter that is a little bit bigger than the silver, pink hex glitter that is a little bigger than the copper, yellow, purple, and green hex glitter that is slightly larger than the pink, medium/large red hex glitter, silver star glitter, and red heart glitter. This is all jammed into one bottle, amazing! This is one awesome sparkly glitter bomb that I love! The application was great there were tons of different colors and sizes with each brush dip. No problems with bald spots. Dry time was excellent. I didn't have to "fish" around for the hearts or stars. I just put the lid on and gave it a shake and I got them that way. So without further ado here is the wonderful must have:

Here it is with the cute card! Can you see all that sparkle!?

This is one coat. And you can see all the different colors are there, and there is a big red glitter on my pinkie (it doesn't look red at that angle, but it is). This polish could be worn over top of your favorite color or by itself.

This is still only one coat. And you can see on my thumb I got a heart and a large red hex (which again due to the angle doesn't look red, but it it) along with all kinds of other colors.

A close up on the glittery goodness that is on my thumb.  It's just gorgeous!

Here I have 2 coats. And you can tell it has quite a bit more coverage.

Look I got a star on my thumb!! Too cute!

Here's a bit closer so you can see the heart, star and all the other glitters!! Look at all the sparkles!!

Here's another full hand shot with 2 coats. As you can see I got a heart on both my ring and pinkie fingers. And there was no "fishing" involved.

This is such an amazingly beautiful combination! To find your own bottle you can check them out on Facebook for updates: Naildit-Unique-Nail-Polish. And here is the link right to their etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/andeevie?ref=si_shop.  They are planning a restock for tomorrow at 6 pm MST!  So check out this wonderful Indie creator and get in on all her glittery goodness.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and come back again soon. Have a wonderful day and don't forget to smile, you never know whose looking :)
